Connie L. Powell

  Connie L. Powell, 50, of Peoria, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2012 at her home.   She was born October 14, 1962 in Peoria to William R. and Lola R. (Trent) Cady.  She married Richard D. Powell September 4, 1990 in Peoria.  He preceded her in death July 28, 2010 in Peoria.   She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Bobby, Terry and Joe. Surviving is her daughter, Terra (Ryan) Woosley of Bartonville, five brothers, William R. (Roberta) Cady of Peoria, Richard F. Cady of Peoria, Val D. Cady of Peoria, John L. (Polly) Cady of Peoria, Michael L. (Brianna) Cady of Washington, IL; one sister, Clara (Brian) Hibbert of East Peoria; and two grandchildren, Isabella “Izzy” Woosley and Ryder Woosley and several nieces and nephews including Danielle and Brandy, whom were like daughters to her.   Connie last worked for Enercon of East Peoria.   She was a member of Faith Missionary Church of Bartonville and volunteered at its Vacation Bible School.  She also loved volunteering at South Side Mission, making Pies.  Connie loved to go to car shows and antiquing.  But her true passion was her family, especially spending time with her grandkids Izzy and Ryder.   Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday December 28, 2012 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel.  A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, December 29, 2012 at the Chapel.  Rev. Craig Hislope will officiate.
