Daniel "Dan" E. McEvers

He was born on October 26, 1942 in Peoria, IL to Wilbur Earl and Martha Marie (Hendrick) McEvers. He married Irene Roberts in Peoria on October 15, 1966. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister.

Surviving are his wife, his two children, Tim McEvers and Deanna (James) Potendyk and twin grandsons, Keith and Ryan Potendyk.

Dan graduated from Richwoods Community High School and began his career in printing at Muirson Label Co and then worked at Edward Hine Printing Co until his retirement in 2001.

He was ordained as a minister in 1976 and served as the Pastor of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Peoria Heights from 1977 until his death.

Dan was an avid bowler and enjoyed fishing in Wisconsin on his Pontoon Boat. All those closest to his heart will dearly miss him and cherish his sense of humor and love; but know he is home with his Lord and Savior.

A funeral service will be Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at 11:00 am at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria, with a visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens in Peoria.
