Known best for her quirkiness and exuberance, Danielle found great comfort in her friends and family. She also was a talented artist, who made drawings and paintings, and was a serial reorganizer: Her bedroom never had the same layout for more than a few months.
Among her favorite activities were creating art, playing video games and Ultimate Frisbee. She loved watching TV shows and movies: If a film came out, she watched it. Danielle loved all animals (she had two cats and two frogs and a fish named Oscar) — except spiders. Spiders are the worst.
At Dunlap High School in Illinois, she was a skilled fisher, winning the Illini High School open in 2013, and she ran cross-country. During her first year at Illinois State University — where she studied psychology, with ambitions to become a counselor to help kids with mental illness — she found a home at Encounter, a youth campus ministry. She also played floor hockey.
Danielle was born June 29 in Bloomington, Ill., and grew up in various cities in Illinois and, for a time, in South Dakota.
Her visitation is 3-6 p.m. Sunday at Davison-Fulton-Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria, Ill., and the funeral is 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Peoria. Father Dustin Schultz will officiate. Preceding the Mass, there also will be a brief visitation at 9 a.m. at the church.
She is survived by her parents, Dennis (Chris Mullally) Weber of Edwards, Ill., and Roxanne Weber of Pekin, Ill.; two brothers, Ryan Weber of Washington, D.C., and Matt Weber of Carbondale, Ill.; a stepsister, Alyssa Mullally; a stepbrother, Quinn Mullally, each of Edwards, Ill.; her grandparents, Norma Weber of Bernard, Iowa, and Lou and Alta Durham of Toluca, Ill.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Leo Weber of Bernard, Iowa, who died Jan. 7, 2001.
Burial to follow at a later date at Resurrection Cemetery in Peoria.
