

She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Deborah married James Parrott on September 7, 1996, who survives her. She is also survived by her daughter, Kim Hubbs and her husband Bob Foster; her step-son, James Parrott and his wife Jessie; and her beloved grandchildren, Ben Hubbs and Riley Parrott. She leaves behind her brothers, John Schmidt and his wife Glee, and Todd Schmidt and his wife Sue.
She was preceded in death by her baby brother, David Schmidt.
Deborah graduated from Peoria High School in 1963. She worked for Johnson Controls for 28 years in selling and administrative roles, demonstrating her dedication and skill. In 1999, she and her family opened Wild Birds Unlimited, a business that reflected her passion for nature and wildlife.
Deborah was a fierce defender of all animals, loving cats, dogs, and horses. She found joy in watching the birds and animals in her backyard and cherished the time spent with family in Northern Wisconsin. Her love for animals extended beyond her home, as she generously donated to many sanctuaries.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. with a private graveside service to follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Forever Home Resale Shop (Pets for Seniors) or Skydog Sanctuary, reflecting her enduring commitment to animal welfare.
