Dennis Dean Miller

Dennis Dean Miller, 75, of Washington, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025, at Carle Health - Methodist Hospital in Peoria. He was born on August 18, 1949, a son of Louis Lee Miller and Lela (Thompson) Miller. Dennis married Donna J. Greene on October 14, 1972 in Peoria. She survives.

He is also survived by his niece, Dana DeWolf of Peoria; great-nephew, Dallas (Hiedi) Heimberger of Columbia, Missouri; aunt, Carol Colvis of Matthew, Missouri; sister-in-law, Judy McDowell of Peoria; life-long friend, Ed Kosko of Chillicothe; many bonus nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and several beloved cousins in Southern Illinois.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Darlene Heimberger; one brother, Charles "Butch" Birgam; and his beloved pet dog, Lightning.

He was a graduate of Richwoods High School Class of 1969.

Dennis worked at Keystone Steel & Wire in Bartonville for 34 years, retiring in 2003.

He loved fishing, hunting, and was an avid NASCAR fan. Dennis never met a slot machine he didn't like.

Dennis' memorial visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, July 25, 2025, at the Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. An additional visitation will take place from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the funeral chapel. His memorial service will be at 11:00 am also on Saturday at the funeral chapel. Inurnment will take place at Chapel of Peace Mausoleum in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria at a later date.

Dennis' family has arranged a celebration of life gathering to take place from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at the Limestone American Legion Post #979 in Bartonville.
