He was born December 15, 1931, the son of Leland and Hallie (Ketcham) Richardson, of Canton IL.
Donald was a graduate of Canton High School, an Army Veteran of the Korean War, a member of Ducks Unlimited, and an avid golfer. He was a manager at Illinois Bell, and retired in 1993 after 36 years of perfect attendance. He was of the Methodist Faith.
He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Robert, Bill, and Paul; and one sister, Fern.
Donald is survived by his children, Rick Richardson of Baton Rouge, LA, Robin (Andrew) Chanda of Lemont, IL, Leasa (Steve) Tomlin of Baton Rouge, LA, Carla Richardson of Lake Balboa, CA, and Brian Richardson of Peoria, IL; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; one sister, Joyce (Bill) Raley of Delta, CO.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
Memorials may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
