

E. Ann Lucas, age 87, of Peoria Heights, passed away Monday, Sep. 16, 2013 at 6 p.m. at Bueller Christian Home in Peoria. She was born March 6, 1926 in Hoopeston, IL to Robert and Edna (Grove) Boehme. She married Floyd Lucas March 17, 1946 in East Lynn, IL. He passed away Oct. 14, 2009 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Deborah Lynn Lucas, two sisters: Iona McBride, Margo Shank, and one brother, Clifford Boehme. Survivors include one sister, Peg Fidler of Normal, IL, three Godchildren: Victoria Rayner of Tampa, FL, Justen Rayner of West Peoria, Amanda Rayner of West Peoria, four nieces: Pam Bell of Rossville, IL, Tammy Potts of Downers Grove, IL, Marta Eynatten of Bloomington, IL, Cindy Shank of Rossville, and one nephew, Jim Bell of Oklahoma City, OK. She was also survived by her special friends: Vickie and Ray Maybanks, and Thelma Neal. Ann was employed at Home Insurance Companies in Peoria for 28 years retiring Oct. 1, 1983. She was a member of Peoria Heights Congregational Church where she was a Deaconess and a member of the Women’s Fellowship Group. She was also a member of the White Cap Drifters Boat Club, and the Peoria Heights Chapter of O.E.S. #933. She volunteered at Methodist Medical Center for many years and was an avid Bradley Braves fan. Funeral services will be Thursday Sep. 19, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Peoria Heights Congregational Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the Church. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria is in charge of arrangements. Entombment will be in Parkview Cemetery Chapel of Peace Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to Peoria Heights Congregational Church.
