Edwin B. Ehrgott

He was born October 27, 1935 in Joplin, MO to Paul and Pauline (Wilson) Ehrgott. He married Mary Creighton in Pekin in 1958. She survives.

Also surviving are their three children, Edwin B. (James Aalberts) Ehrgott Jr of Long Beach, CA, Elizabeth Ann (Tony) Street of Tampa, FL, John Creighton (Amy) Ehrgott of Peoria, and one grandson Adam Declan Ehrgott.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Jane Ann Brown.

Edwin Graduated from Rock Island High School where he played Football, Basketball and Track and obtained the rank of Eagle Scout at the age of 14.

Edwin graduated from Bradley University with a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1958. He then entered the U.S. Airforce as a commissioned officer and served as a Navigator in the Strategic Air Command from 1958 to 1961. He began his business career as a Sales Engineer in 1961 with Ingersoll Rand Company in New York City, and went on to work for Komatsu Haulpak Company in 1965, where he held various Sales and Marketing Management positions. After retiring from Komatsu he served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing with Philippi-Hagenbuch, Inc., until starting his own business, Ehrgott & Associates in 1998.

Edwin was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Peoria, Mt. Hawley Country Club, served on the Boards of American Red Cross and W.D. Boyce Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He was also a past President of the Bradley University National Alumni Association and Bradley Chiefs Club.

A visitation will be Tuesday, June 1, 2021 from 6 to 8 pm at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. A funeral mass will be at 11 am on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Peoria with entombment to follow at Resurrection Mausoleum in Peoria.
