

He was born January 8, 1925 in Denver, Colorado.
Edwin married Laurel Virginia Kuehl, August 18, 1947 in Concord, California, they shared life together for 74 years. She survives. Their daughter, Paula, was born January 3, 1950 in Oakland, California. Edwin and Laurel moved to Peoria, Illinois in 1969 with daughter, Paula, who later married Neil Arterburn in Peoria.
Also surviving are his two granddaughters, Amanda (Eric) Bressler and Suzanne (Brad) Motteler and four great grandchildren, Lukas Bressler, Anna Bressler, Jude Motteler, and Nora Motteler.
Edwin grew up in Colorado, and attended Colorado School of Mines.
He worked for U.S. Steel, in California for 25 years, before moving to Peoria to work for and retiring from Keystone Steel and Wire. He then worked for Midstate Steel in Crawfordsville, Indiana.
Upon retirement from Midstate Steel, Dad and Mom returned to Peoria, to be with family.
Dad worked as a part time metallurgical consultant for Bethlehem Steel for several more years.
Dad worked his whole life, but his first thoughts were always of his family. He loved every one of us.
“Thanks for calling” was his standard closing to each phone call, expecting a “Thanks for listening” response, always followed by his quiet chuckle. Miss you dad.
Private services will be held. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
