

Born Dec. 2, 1916 in Farmington, IL to James and Jane (Russell) Eagleson. They both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her 8 brothers and sisters.
Frances graduated from Manual High School with 4 years of perfect attendance. She excelled in History and Drama. She turned down an acting career near New York City after high school graduation to marry her high school sweetheart. She married Henry J. Cassens in Peoria, IL on Feb. 6, 1937. They were happily married for 52 years. He preceded her in death on June 4, 1989.
She is survived by her son, Henry (Joyce) Cassens; daughter, Cheryl (Mike) Cook; grandson, Brad Cook; granddaughter, Tracey (Brendan) Head; and 2 great-grandchildren, Ayden and Tristan Head. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She worked 28 years for the Illinois Bell Telephone Company retiring as a supervisor on 1982. She was a member of the Illinois Bell Pioneers. The family would like to send special thanks to the entire staff at Liberty Village-Manor Court Skilled Nursing who loved and cared for Frances over the past 2 years.
Frances was also a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Peoria where Funeral Services will be on Friday, April 13, 2012 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Bill Dohle officiating. Visitation will one hour before services Friday at the Church. Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria is in charge of arrangements. Entombment will be at American Mausoleum in Peoria.
