Freda Brooks

She was born July 26, 1925 in Witt, IL to Oda and Rose Ann (Cassidy) Caulk.

She was a resident of the Bnai Brith apartments.

Surviving is her son James (Patricia) Brooks, Sr. of Peoria and his children James Jr., 25, Zachary, 15, Deanna, 9 and Christopher,3 all of Peoria; two daughters Julie Dolinsek of Galesburg, and Patricia Armstrong of Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Patrick Caulk.

Freda last worked in the early 1980’s at K-mart in Peoria. After 5 years of service there, she became a homemaker. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Peoria. She enjoyed baking and donating to charitable causes. Her favorite activity, however, was spending time with her family and playing with her grandchildren.

A funeral service will begin at 11:30 A.M., Thursday, August 26, 2010 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. The Franciscan Friars will officiate. Visitation will be two hours prior to services on Thursday at the chapel. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery.
