

Fred married Janice (Cox) Kendall in Rockville MD Nov. 20, 1965.
Fred is survived by wife Janice, three daughters, Deborah Dickerson, Donna Nicholson and Dana Kendall (Marc Gonzalez). Six grandchildren, Donnie Dickerson, Amanda Hitchcock (Jeremy), Tearra Nava (Lou), Brea Mercer, Zoie Alecos and Kara Griffis (Blake). Three great granddaughters, Alanis Hitchcock, Elora and Ruby Nava. Several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death, parents and siblings.
Fred joined the Marine Corps on Jan 22, 1962 and honorable discharge May 22, 1966. Moved to Illinois after discharge and worked at Caterpillar for over 30 years.
Fred had many interests including rebuilding tractors and antique cars. One of his favorite sports was fishing. He and his wife spent many summers after retirement at Camper Village at Oak Run, fishing. He always said we could fill the boat with the number of fish we caught. He loved to talk to people and tell stories of his life.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Graveside services will be Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 11 a.m. in Prospect Cemetery on Rt 91 outside Dunlap. There will be a local luncheon to be announced at the graveside service. Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Greater Peoria Honor Flight, Dunlap Fire Department or Shriners Hospital.
