She was born May 13, 1929 in Peoria to Leroy and Theo (Castle) Prather. She married Lloyd Walters on November 22, 1947 in Peoria. He passed away January 5, 2005 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by one son, Stephen Walters, and five siblings: Richard Prather, Vivianne Beck, Helen Swartz, Betty Decker, and Jim Prather.
Survivors include one daughter, Cindy Miller of East Peoria, two sons: James (Evelyn) Walters of Peoria, Jeff (Erika) Walters of East Peoria, 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Geraldine worked at RLI then Bergner’s Department Store.
She attended the First Baptist Church in Peoria.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 11 a.m. at the Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.
Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
Memorials may be made to St Jude Midwest Affiliate or the Richard L. Owens Hospice Home.
