Gertrude Ardel Weigel

Gertrude A. Weigel, 87, of Peoria, passed away at her home, July 21, 2014, surrounded by her family. Gertrude was born in Cleveland, Ohio on July 16, 1927 to George and Gerdina (Garrels) Falatka. She married Charles D. Weigel on July 5, 1947 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on January 12, 2014. Gertrude is survived by two children: Nancy Weigel of Peoria, Chuck (Kathey) Weigel of Peoria, Sisters; Marian Miller, Pat (Bill) Kessler, Shirley Deeter, all of Peoria, Brother; Jack (Georgia) Falatka of Nebraska, Grandsons; Ted (Dawn Dulas) Tiller, Les (Dawn) Tiller, Jake Weigel, Terry and Joshua Hanks, and Great Grandchildren; Austin, Kate and Brayden. She is also preceded in death by her Parents, Daughter; Peggy Kepler, and three brothers; Donald, Richard and Robert Falatka. Gertrude worked for CAT as an Office Administrator and retired from CAT. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Wife, Sister and Friend. She had such an inviting personality, and knew no stranger. Funeral services for Gertrude will be held on Thursday July 24, 2014 at 11 AM at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
