Imogene Secretan, 90, of Peoria entered into eternal rest New Year’s Eve 2025 at Bickford House. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Eugene Secretan. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Secretan of Tampa FL, and her son, Linton Secretan of Kansas City MO.
Imogene retired from Caterpillar, where she worked for many years as a secretary. She was the twelfth and last child born in her family, and she was the last to survive. Her mother and father were Monnie and Oscar Whetstone. She is now reunited with her brothers and sisters, mother and father. She was especially close to her sisters Helen and Wilma and her brother Ronald. Whenever they got together they could talk for hours, and they’re probably still celebrating their reunion.
Imogene loved living on the family farm and she was a devoted wife. She loved attending her church, Second Baptist Church of Peoria. Imogene had a passion for sewing, especially quilts, which she made as part of the quilting group at her church.
Sharon and Linton would like to especially thank Sherry Bartels and the Bartels family for taking such good care of Imogene as her health declined. Sherry and Imogene shared a special loving bond that enriched Imogene’s life immensely.
Imogene’s memorial visitation will be at 2PM on January 23rd with service to follow at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Pastor Paul Maitland and Pastor Denise Stanley will officiate.
