James "Jim" A. Whitworth

He was born April 4, 1944 in Clinton, TN to Dean A. and Margaret Ann (Moore) Whitworth. He married Ann Spilman on July 11, 1964 in Galesburg, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife Ann of Dunlap, his two beloved children, Michele Whitworth of Bloomington and Matt (Terri) Whitworth of Washington, four grandchildren, Mercedes (Josh) Alvis of N.C., Alexis Martinez of Bloomington, Josh and David Whitworth of Washington.

Jim worked in Material Planning with Caterpillar Inc for 38 years before retiring in 2002. He had attended Bradley University and completed the 2 year machinist Program at Caterpillar. Jim also attended St. Jude Catholic Church in Dunlap.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 from 5 to 8 pm at Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. A Funeral Mass will be Thursday, August 8, 2013 at 10:00 am at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Galesburg. Father Robert Spilman will officiate. Burial will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetary in Galesburg.
