

He was born on November 17, 1935 in Peoria to Robert and Mary Wyeneth Reiman. He married Nilah Espel on November 2, 1957 in Princeton, IL. She survives along with one son Randy (Kim) Reiman of Morton, two daughters Cindi Reiman of Hilton Head, SC and Merri Reiman of Peoria; six grandsons Tyler, Brock, Derek, twins Grant and Trent and Dustin; one granddaughter Maci; and one sister Wilma (Bart) DeBartolo of Naples, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Jim had own and operated The Basket Case in Peoria for 30 years. At The Basket Case he held auctions for the Children’s Home Association raising more than $100,000 over the years. Prior to this he was in Pharmaceutical Sales. He retired in 2014. He had been a member of the Army Reserve.
Jim had graduated from Bradley University in 1957 and was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He was a four year member of Bradley Tennis Teams. His tennis legacy includes all three of his children and three of his grandchildren playing tennis for several colleges and universities.
Cremation will be accorded. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Sister Judith Ann will officiate. Friends may call on the family from 1:00 to 3:00 PM on Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Children’s Hospital of Illinois, the Shriner’s Hospital, or to Wounded Warriors.
