

She was born May 10, 1921 in Dinan, France to Maurice and Augustine A. (Duperouzel) Petout. She married Joseph A. Lonteen on January 11, 1947 in Trinidad, CO. He passed away on March 22, 1991 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Surviving are her four children: Gilles (Mary Ann) Lonteen of Rolling Meadows, IL, Josette Boland of Brimfield, IL, Michelle (Joe) Pfeiff of Peoria, AZ, Danielle (William) Max of Jefferson City, MO; one brother: Bernard (Anne-Marie) Petout of Orvault, France; nine grandchildren: Brigitte, Philippe, Fred, Nicole, Christian, Denise, Christopher, Michael, Craig; five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Jeanne was a sales clerk for Schaffer North in Peoria retiring in 1982. She enjoyed quilting and was a member of the Peoria Area Stitcher’s Guild. She has made many quilts for friends, family and her church, St. Jude Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Rosary Society at St. Jude.
Jeanne’s true passion was her family. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a true inspiration for all of them and touched each of their lives in a unique way. She will be dearly missed.
A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at St. Jude Catholic Church. Father Adam Stimpson will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum.
