

He was born April 26, 1943 in Muscogee County, GA a son of Bro and Esteal Williams. He married Louise Wilson on January 1, 1963 in Columbus, GA. She survives.
Also surviving are two children, Wendy (Jeff, deceased) Riddle of Peoria, Jerry (Felicia) Williams of Virginia Beach, VA; four grandchildren, Jeffery, Javon, Jahmal, Brian; one great grandchild, Kesean; one sister, Betty Thomas of Columbus, GA; two brothers, Robert (Sarah) Foster of Peoria, Tony Thomas of Peoria; two special uncles, Jesse Williams of Peoria, and John Williams of Columbus, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and one infant son.
Jerry worked as a Welder for Maple City Manufacturing Company in Peoria, a Custodian for Bethel United Methodist Church, and a Custodian for Sharon Health Care in Peoria.
He was known for his sense of humor and jokes. He loved Science Fiction and Horror movies. He enjoyed barbequing.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Bethel United Methodist Church in Peoria. Rev. Dr. Rose M. Brooker-Jones will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church.
