Born Joan Schuller September 17, 1935 in Salem Ohio, she is survived by her husband Bill, children, Karen, Bill, Nancy, Cathi, Michael, and Linda, her 6 grandchildren, and Mike and Becky Manuel, the best neighbors ever.
A graduate of Mount Union College, Joan served her community as a pediatric nurse for over 30 years, continuing in retirement, hand stitching quilts and clothing for premature newborns at local hospitals. Together she and Bill organized and led a large group of Stephen Ministers tending the spiritual needs of church members in local nursing homes and hospitals. A caring and giving woman, she was unable to pass by a soul in need nor a stitching store with a clearance sale in progress.
A memorial service will be held 3:00pm, Saturday, February 25, 2012 at United Presbyterian Church. There will be no visitation. Davison-Fulton-Woolsey-Wilton is assisting with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials donations may be made to the church or St. Judes Children’s Hospital. Tributes and condolences may be submitted at www.woolsey-wilton.com
