John William Adams

John was born August 25, 1927, to Elisha and Verna Adams of Springfield, MO. He served in the US Army during World War II as a radio repairman.

In 1950, he married the love of his life, Peggy Sue Seiler. They raised two children together and spent an amazing 58 years together before Peggy preceded him in death in December 2008.

He is survived by his son, Gerald Adams, of Bartonville, IL; his daughter, Tana Hess, of Tampa, FL; 6 grandchildren - Brandi (Eric) Diffy of Summerville, SC; Brittany (Steven) Kuhl of Murrieta, CA; Kylee Wright of Marquette Heights, IL; Sabrina Adams of Peoria, IL; John Michael Adams of Fairmount, IL; and Faith Adams of Tampa, FL. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers 3 sisters. He is also survived by his sisters, Barbara (James) Ragon and Ola Mae Locke.

John worked for Caterpillar Inc. for 33 years. He's a member of First Baptist Church of Peoria. He was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather. He loved dartball, camping, his family (and teasing his family!) and God above all else.

John's funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday March 4, 2023 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. His visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday March 3, 2023 also at the funeral chapel. Burial will take place at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.

Memorial donations may be made in John Adams' name to St. Jude.
