

He was born on July 10, 1957 in Springfield, IL to John N. and Joan (Grace) Bennyhoff. He married Mary Beaupre in 1998 in Peoria.
Surviving is his wife, Mary of Dunlap, his parents, John and Joan Bennyhoff of Decatur, two sons, J.J. and Luke Bennyhoff of Dunlap, two sisters, Susan (John) Skeffington of Decatur and Ann (Dennis) Callahan of St. Louis, MO; and his father and mother-in-law, Joe and Eileen Beaupre. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was raised in Decatur, IL and was a graduate of St. Teresa High School. He attended Milliken University and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business. Johnny worked as a Sales representative for Southern Wine and Spirits, where he received the Salesman of the Year award the last five years. He was a member of the Liquor and Allied Workers Union #3 and was a Dunlap JFL and Little League Coach.
Johnny loved hunting, camping, fishing and anything that had to do with nature. He would make friends everywhere he went and “to know him was to love him”.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Jude Catholic Church, 10811 N. Knoxville Ave., Peoria, IL 61615. Burial will follow the service at Resurrection Cemetery in Peoria.
