

John was born April 26, 1968 in Peoria, IL. He graduated Prairie Central High School in Forrest, IL in 1986. After graduation, he joined the United State Army receiving an honorable discharge in 1988.
When he returned to Peoria he was employed by Peoria Roofers Local 69 working there until he became ill in 2008.
John leaves behind his parents, Bob and Jacque Schrock, Peoria; his birth father, John Palumbo, Lacon; his son Dan George, Peoria; granddaughter, Isabelle and a soon to be born grandson. Other survivors include his maternal grandmother, Del Gulliford, Forrest, IL and paternal grandmother Dorothy Imler, Bellevue; his half brother Jason Palumbo, IN; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers; Jim Gulliford, Sr., John Palumbo, Ron Imler, and his beloved dog, Candy.
John was a good natured guy, full of life, love, and boundless energy. He was an outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, garden, and search for mushrooms. For several years he was an avid shuffleboard player. He was a lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Minnesota Vikings. A kind generous man, he will be sorely missed by the friends and family he loved so much.
Services will be held at 2 pm Saturday November 6, 2010 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Parkview Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. View John’s life story at www.Davison-Fulton.com
