Jon P. Sanders

Peoria - Jon P. Sanders, 55, of Peoria, passed away at 2:06 p.m. Friday, December 18, 2020 at UnityPoint Health - Methodist in Peoria. He was born on October 22, 1965 in Peoria to Cornealious and Lorraine (Little) Sanders.

Surviving is his mother of Peoria; two children, Phillip P. Wilkins of Peoria and Jonathan Z. Tinsley of Peoria; three children, not of blood, but of the heart, Taylon, Devonne, and Za’Brea Tinsley; three brothers, Cornealious (Nicole Bush-Sanders) Sanders, III of Peoria, Kenneth (Renee) Sanders of Bolingbrook, and Christopher (Melanie) Sanders of Peoria; three sisters, Diane (Robert) Morris of Peoria, Lorraine M. Sanders of Bolingbrook, and Theresa Sanders of Peoria; and long -time girlfriend, Poppy Cooks of Peoria.

Jon was preceded in death by his father; and two brothers, David Eugene Sanders and Donald Louis Sanders.

Jon worked as a truck driver for Sorce Enterprises, Inc. in East Peoria for 18 years.

He loved music, sports, and cars. He attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Peoria while growing up.

Jon's funeral mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 28, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Peoria. Rev. Fr. Bill Miller will officiate. His visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. also on Monday at the church. Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum in Peoria. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria is in charge of arrangements.
