He was born December 29, 1926 in Villa Grove, IL to Matt N. and Mella B. (Simmons) Morrow. He married Ella May Neilson May 2, 1947 in East Peoria. She passed away January 23, 2011 in Washington. He was also preceded in death by one son, Joe Morrow, Jr., five sisters and one brother.
Survivors include two sisters, Dorothy Svetich of Peoria, Neva Buttell of Peoria; one brother, Harold (Minnie) Morrow, Sr. of Mackinaw; and several nieces and nephews.
Joe owned and operated Morrow’s Plumbing in Peoria for over 50 years. He was a member of the Mohammed Temple and was a 33rd Degree Mason.
He attended Living Rock Assembly Church in Peoria Heights.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. Rev. Tyler Morrow will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.
Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
Memorials may be made to the South Side Mission or the Living Rock Assembly Church Mission Fund.
