To the Byrd family . No human words can convey to you the grief that is in my heart at the home going of my Sister in Christ and friend. I was caught off guard that she was ill and had been seeking medical treatment while attending Church. Oh how I wish the people of God would be more transparent when any of us are suffering so that the whole body may come together to offer up prayer with thanksgiving to our God asking for mercy, healing, and strength according to his perfect will. I love you always Sister Byrd and will see you again in Glory in our Heavenly Father’s Kingdom. Minister Donald Cummings, New Morning Star M.B. Church.

Dominique & family,
I taught with your dear mother at ICC for many years, and I count it a blessing to call her a friend. We became close and shared our joys and sorrows, and most importantly, we loved the LORD together and knew what eternal promises lie ahead. Philippians 3:20-21

My love and sympathy is extended to the Byrd Family in the passing of our loved one.

Although I have not seen Linda Kay in years I will always remember that beautiful smile and simply wonderful spirit.

I do recall when we were younger I had no understanding as to why there was a Linda Kay and Linda Faye. She told me, "My mother is in the house, Michael Young if you want to ask her you can".

My prayers are with the family. May your faith and many memories be sources of strength as you face the days ahead.

Ms. Linda was such a kind and caring person who truly treasured all children. Her nurturing demeanor and warm laugh made all the kids at ICC’s Childcare Center feel special and welcome. My sons, Daelen and Aaron, both felt a connection to Ms. Linda and loved her smile and comforting hugs. We will miss you, Ms. Linda! Our condolences to the family.

Miss Linda was my son's preschool teacher. She always had a wonderful smile and kind heart. She even remembered us almost 15 years after having Tre' in class when we saw her out one night. She gave us the biggest hug and again that wonderful smile. We will never forget her and how she helped start Tre's school years. Love you Miss Linda. You will be forever missed.

My heart and sympathy goes out to Dominique and the rest of the family. Linda was not only a friend but was very kind and had a calming soul and spirit. Before teaching full time, I worked with her at ICC and we had some good times laughing and talking. But she truly cared about the children. We both learned from each other, but what I learned most from her was to be kind to everyone. Despite anything and everything, she was always kind. I will miss you Linda Kay. Love ya! Sending prayers of comfort to the family.

My family was devastated when we heard the news that "Miss Linda" had passed. Both of my children loved and learned from her at ICC Children's Center. I can say without hesitation that she was one of the kindest, warmest, most genuine loving souls this earth has ever known. She was especially special to my little Ruthie through hard times....we will miss her terribly, as I know so many will. My thoughts and love go out to her family.....
