She was employed at Caterpillar Inc. as an assembly line worker for 20 years and retired from Peoria Public School Dist #150 as a cafeteria worker (cook) for Woodruff High School in 2006.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Antione D. Ware (Ashleigh), four grandchildren, Isaac, Breashia, Antione Jr. (AJ) and Tamara; four sisters, Ida Simpson of St. Paul, MN, Pearlene Parker of Del City, OK, Carolyn Scott of Atlanta, GA and Diane Purifoy of Peoria, IL as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins across the country.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence “Larry” Nance, her mother and father, two brothers Sydney and William “Willie” Ware and sister Deloris “Dee” Mitchell.
Visitation will be held at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel, Thursday, July 2 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 am. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery.
