Louis W. Shore

He was born December 11, 1928 in Peoria to William T. and Eva (Powell) Shore. He married Kathleen Senters February 13, 1949 in Peoria. She survives along with four daughters: Janice (Richard) Araujo of Congerville, Renae (Robert) Clough of Peoria, Marsha (Roy) Clark of New London, Iowa, Kim (Chris) Thomas of Brimfield; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren, and one sister, Margaret Bennett of New Brunswick, N.J.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son Scott L. Shore.

Louie was an Army veteran and was retired from the Laborers Local 165 out of Peoria. In 1948 Louie was a middleweight Golden Glove boxing champion. He was a loving husband, father, and was very proud of his entire family.

He was of the Baptist faith.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of Louie’s life will be Monday March 21, 2011 at 6 p.m. at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Officiating will be his grandson Rev. Nathan Clark. A visitation will be two hours prior to the services on Monday at the funeral home.
