Madge Hussey

Madge was born February 14, 1920 in Guntersville, AL, the daughter of Greenberry and Lizzie Ingrim Wilcox. She married Leiton Hussey in 1937. He preceded her in death in December of 1989.

She is survived by one daughter, Martha (Ernest) Reese of Peoria; one son, Jim (Vicki) Hussey of Peoria; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, Jason (Shannon) Hussey of Peoria and their children, Tatum, Bennet, and Griffin; Angela Hussey (Matt) Nelis of Noblesville, IN, and their children, Cade and Sydney; Meri Lou, Tom and Tracy Reese all of Peoria; and Tanya Reese (Chris) Margetis of Seal Beach, CA, and their children, Ian and Flynn; two sisters, Ola Wilson of Kingston, NY, and Dale Duym of Forked River, NJ.

Madge was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters.

Madge's favorite pastime was being with loved ones. She cherished each new child as they were added to her family. She could often be found working in her vegetable and flower gardens which she shared with her family and neighbors into her 90's. She loved birds and animals. She was always forgiving and came from a gentler time. Her outgoing, friendly personality will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Pastor Louis Dalton will officiate.

Entombment will be at a later date at American Mausoleum in Peoria.
