Marie was born on July 18, 1960, in Kousba, Lebanon, where she married Elias Sarraf on August 12, 1979. She is survived by her mother, Jeanette, her husband, Elias, their three children George (Evi), Simon (Frances), and Jenny (Branden), and four grandchildren, George, Elizabeth, Elias, and Parker.
Marie was a devout member of All Saints Greek Orthodox Church and, before retiring, she worked as an administrator with OSF St. Francis Medical Center.
The visitation will be held on Thursday evening, May 12th, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home as well as on Friday morning, May 13th, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at All Saints Greek Orthodox Church. The funeral service will begin on Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. and will be followed by a gravesite service at Parkview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to Marie’s home parishes of All Saints in Peoria, Illinois, and Saints Sergius and Bacchus in Kousba, Lebanon.
