She was born June 15, 1936, in Peoria to Melvin T. and Blanche (Evans) Bracken, she married Richard A. Houlihan on April 2, 1955, also in Peoria. He passed away on December 29, 2008.
Marilyn was also preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Tommy.
She is survived by her children, Don (Jamie) Houlihan, Guy (Mary) Houlihan and Linda (Tom) Thompson; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and her significant other, Tom Stein.
In her youth, Marilyn found joy in ballroom dancing. She had a heart for adventure and a love for travel and Marilyn was a woman of Christian faith.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel, Peoria, with visitation being held one-hour prior to the service. Entombment will conclude at Parkview Cemetery Mausoleum.
