PEORIA HEIGHTS - Mathilda S. Howe- Riccitelli, 92 of Peoria Heights, formerly of New York, passed away Feb. 7, 2018 at Cornerstone Rehabilitation and Health Care.
She was born March 14, 1925 to Otto and Helen Hiba Sladky. Mathilda married Frank Howe Jr. on June 22, 1945 in New York; he passed away on November 4, 1991. She later married John Riccitelli on September 12, 1993 in Peoria; he passed away on June 28, 2011.
Mathilda is survived by two daughters, Chris Beal (Sammy) of Peoria and Pat Borum (Jack) of Bartonville, 3 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Frank and John; 3 sisters; and an infant brother
Mathilda enjoyed playing Bingo and reading. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and her grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Cornerstone Rehabilitation and Health Care and Compassus Hospice.
A Graveside service will be held at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded by Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel.
