Michael "Mick" E. Ruggles

Michael “Mick” E. Ruggles, 72, of Washington, IL, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2020 in Glendale Heights, IL

He was born July 9, 1948 in Champaign, IL to Alvin and Marjorie (Richards) Ruggles. He married Candace “Candy” Isaac on September 9, 1972. She preceded him in death on July 31, 1997 in Washington, IL. His parents also preceded him in death.

He is survived by his love of over 21 years, Melodye of Washington; his two children, Michael Ruggles of Tuscola, and Teresa Wienke of El Reno, Oklahoma; three step-sons, Danny, Mike and Jimmy Buckingham; 10 grandchildren, Douglas, Heather, Kristin, Tiana, Brittany, Amber, Jimmy, Elizabeth, Andrew and Jacob and one brother, Robert Ruggles.

Mick served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was the owner and operator of Economy Pest Control in Washington, IL for over 35 years. Mick enjoyed fishing, golfing, bowling and spending time with family. He also enjoyed playing baseball in his youth and was an avid Cubs and Bears Fan. Mick adored his grandchildren and will be remembered for his love of magic, playing Santa Claus at Christmas and his volunteer work with St. Jude.

Cremation will be accorded and Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
