Michael Lee "Mike" Molohon, 71, of Chillicothe, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at his home. He was born on September 9, 1953 in Peoria, a son of Donald E. and Shirley (Hillyer) Molohon. Mike married Virginia Elizabeth "Ginny" Kelch on October 10, 1980 in Peoria. She survives.
He is also survived by his two sons, Adam (Aimie) Molohon of Chillicothe and Jacob Molohon of Chillicothe; one granddaughter, Alexis Molohon of Chillicothe; one sister, Sherri (Chris) Mitzelfelt of Trivoli; one brother, Rick (Nora) Molohon of Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents.
He was a graduate of Peoria Heights High School, Class of 1973.
Mike was a master electrician, last working for PIPCO for over 36 years.
He was a member of the IBEW Local #34 in Bartonville. Mike was a lifetime Eagle Scout and also property chairman for Ingersoll Scout Reservation for over 60 years. He also was the previous property maintenance manager for Camp Wokanda for many years. Mike was an avid deer hunter and in his "spare time" he would maintain his own property in Fulton County.
Mike's funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at the Davison-Fulton-Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home. His visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 also at the funeral home. A private committal service will take place in Chillicothe City Cemetery.
