

Nancy was born August 2, 1949 in Peoria, to Charles and Mary (Koler) Sauer. She married Bruce Brown August 16, 1969. He survives. Also surviving are three children: Cynthia (Thad) Kersh of Dunlap, IL, Nicholas (Christine) Brown of Scott Air Force Base, IL and Wendy Brown of Peoria, IL; eight grandchildren: Jacob, Andrew, Nancy Lian, Lana Xinlu Kersh, and Alexander, Hannah, Holly and Andrew (Akers) Brown; brother: Johnny (Mary Lee) Sauer of Germantown Hills, IL; aunt: Eloise Sauer of Peoria; sister-in-law: Barbara "Andi" St. John of San Pedro, CA; and brother-in-law: Craig (Pat) Brown of Belvidere, IL.
She is preceded in death by her parents and nephew, Victor Sauer.
Nancy was a Sales Associate for Bergners. She very proudly volunteered at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in the gift shop, and loved meeting and talking with many people visiting the hospital. When she was younger, she played the organ professionally around local establishments in the area. Nancy enjoyed painting, and also playing Bridge with her closest friends. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
A funeral service for Nancy will be held Tuesday April 15, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home. Pastor Bob Phillips will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4:00 until the time of service. Cremation rites will be accorded after the service.
Nancy was a caregiver. She loved unconditionally and gave everything she had to those fortunate enough to be close to her. She was remarkable in her compassion and consideration for others. Overall, Nancy was beautiful in every aspect.
Memorial donations in honor of Nancy may be made to St. Jude Midwest Affiliate or First United Methodist Church.
