

Born September 20, 1930, in Coalmont, Tenn., to John and Edith (Bone) Scott, she married James E. Cribbs on August 9, 1945, in Rome, GA, and he preceded her in death on March 19, 1989, in Peoria. Her son, Rodney Cribbs; and her granddaughter, Teresa Cribbs, are also predeceased.
Surviving are her children, Noretta Oakley of Henderson, Nev., Richard Cribbs of Utah, Michael (Dee Dee) Cribbs of Peoria, Duane (Gay) Cribbs of Eureka, IL, Debra Cribbs of Peoria, Darin (Denyce) Cribbs of Parker, AZ, and Lisa (Ron) Scales of Peoria; 20 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and her brothers, George "Dick" Prince of California and Gaylon McDaniel of Tennessee.
Nora made a career of raising her children and caring for her family and activities like cooking, gardening and canning were a way of life and family dinners on Sunday were always special. She enjoyed her grandchildren very much.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 14, at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home, 2408 West Willow Knolls Road, Peoria. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 15, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Peoria, with the Rev. Mark Nelson officiating, and additional visitation ½ hour prior to services at the church.
