She was born April 24, 1968, to Bernard “Bernie” J. Bininger and Judith L. (Clark) Fortney in Lancaster, Ohio. Preceding her in death were both her parents; grandparents, Thomas and Theda Clark and Richard “Dick” and Ruth ”Betty” Bininger; and sister, Sandra M. (Bininger) Henry.
Patty married her loving husband, Brian Redpath on August 16, 2003, in Dublin, Ohio. He survives her, along with their children Luke (17) and Lauren (14); sister, Catherine (Edward) Warner; brother, Richard (Billie) Bininger; brothers-in-law, Christopher E. Henry and Scott (Andria) Redpath; sister-in-law, Angela Redpath; parents-in-law, James and Audry Redpath; stepfather, Tirre Fortney; stepmother, Beth Bininger, and many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Patty was a graduate of William W. Fisher Catholic High School class of 1986 and received her bachelor’s degree in May of 1990 from Bowling Green University. She continued her education and earned an MBA from the University of Dayton in 2001. She is a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Peoria, IL and a former member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Lancaster, OH.
Patty worked for BMW Financial Services in Dublin, Ohio for 15 years. When Brian was transferred back to Peoria with Caterpillar, Patty left BMW and began a career at Caterpillar where her strong work ethic and dedication shined through for the past 16 years.
Patty is best defined by the love she had for her family and friends. She was a loving wife, a magnificent mother and a loyal friend. She was grateful for her many blessings and always put others first. Patty lost a private battle with cancer; a battle that she chose not to share publicly as she did not want to burden others. While our need for Patty is immense, we can only conclude that God’s need for her is even greater. We trust that His plan for her and for ourselves is righteous. The love she gave will remain in our hearts. She will be forever missed until we see her again in Heaven.
