He was born August 15, 1933 in Chicago, IL to Harold and Martha (Woulle) Russell. They preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death was an infant son, Brent Russell.
Surviving are his three daughters, Kim Russell and Kirsten (Mark) Douglas and Kristi Russell all of Havana; grandsons, Curt Chapin (Tara Flamini), RJ (Ashley) Chapin of Havana, Dustin Douglas of Chicago, Nicholas (Morgan) Douglas of Petersburg, Seth Douglas (Rae Norton) of Washington, and Cole (Veronica) Klinebaugh of Oregon; great-granddaughters,Vanessa, Savannah, Addisyn, Samantha, Chloee and Scarlett, great-grandsons, Trevor, Mathew, Miles, Leo, Grey, and Jameson; one great-great-granddaughter Isla. Also surviving is ex-wife Marion (Lois) Russell, partner Carolyn Gaines of Havana, Michelle (Alecia) Woods and Jeff Woods also of Havana.
Robert was a proud (Fireman Bob) Firefighter with the Havana Fire Department for many years before retiring. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.
Cremation will be accorded and a graveside service will be held Monday October 3rd at 11:00 am at Laurel Hill cemetery in Havana. A celebration of life will be held after at The Main Room in Havana immediately following the service. Davison-Fulton Woodland chapel is in charge of arrangements.
