(Eckerson) Knaggs. Roger married Sharon Ann Clauss on December 8, 1961 in Peoria and were happily married for 63 years. She survives.
He is also survived by his two sons, Keith (Christine) Knaggs of Mapleton and Kevin (Rebecca) Knaggs of Morton; and three grandchildren, Matthew and Joshua Knaggs, and Rachel (Jeff) Smiertka.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Phylis Walker; brother-in-law, Louis Walker; and nephew, Craig Walker.
He grew up in Peoria Heights and graduated from Peoria Woodruff High School, Class of 1953. Roger graduated from Bradley University with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
He served his country in the United States Army National Guard.
Roger last worked as the Executive Vice President of Carter Paper and Packaging in Peoria after 40 years, retiring in 2001.
Roger was an avid golfer and enjoyed most sports. He particularly enjoyed managing his son's Little League teams. Roger enjoyed many years with his Wednesday's Golf Group.
His biggest interest in sports were the St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Bears, and Bradley Braves.
Roger was a member and attended Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria.
Roger's visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria. His funeral service will take place at 11:00 am also on Saturday at the church. Pastors Bruce Nielson and John Hopwood will officiate. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
