

He was born Nov. 3, 1963 in Greenville, MS to Willie and Willie Bell (Washington) Mitchell. His father preceded him in death.
Survivors include his mother of Peoria, one daughter, Torie Ibeck of Peoria, one son, Kendale Swann of Chicago, one grandson, Kaden Ibeck of Peoria, two sisters: Patricia (Julio) Hobdy of Dixon, Debora Mitchell of Peoria, one brother, Tonnie Mitchell of Greenville, MS, his girlfriend of 16 years Melissa Nott of Peoria, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Roosevelt was a cook in the Peoria area last working as a pastry chef at Jumer’s Castle Lodge Hotel in Peoria. He was a fun loving guy and enjoyed life to the fullest.
He was a member of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in Peoria.
Funeral services will be Saturday Oct. 23, 2010 at 10 a.m. at the City of Refuge Church in Peoria. Pastor Tim Criss will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the church. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria is in charge of arrangements.
Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
Memorials may be made to the American Kidney Foundation or the Sickle Cell Anemia Foundation.
