Sandy was born November 15, 1941 in Havana, IL to Lori and Margaret (Sarff) Giddens. She married Lynn Tripp and he preceded her in death in 1998. Her parents and one brother also preceded her in death.
Surviving is her son, Eric Tripp of Peoria; a niece, Dr. Laurie (Paul) Larson of Peoria and a nephew, Robert Giddens of Hopedale. Also surviving are two great nieces, Megan and Rachel Giddens, and several cousins.
Sandy worked in Administrative Support for CEFCU for many years before retiring. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Peoria and a longtime member of her Homemakers Group. Sandy enjoyed flower gardening, having lunch with her Peoria High Alumni group, and visiting Botanical Gardens across the country.
A service will be on Friday, January 7, 2022 at 11:00 AM with visitation one hour prior to the service at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. A graveside service will be at 3 pm at Snicarte Cemetery near Snicarte, IL.
