Shirley was born Sept. 12 1934 in Peoria, daughter of La Nora & Albert Atkinson. Shirley married Robert David Quick Sr. on October 18, 1952 in Peoria.
Shirley is survived by 5 daughters: Mary Ann Arms of Marquette Heights, Diane (Ted) Daniels of North Pekin, Loretta (Kevin) Ellington of Bartonville, Sarah (Jerry) Parks of Canton, Amy Gingery of Bartonville, 3 sons: Mark (Ginger) Quick of Mapleton, Robert (Kelly) Quick Jr of Bartlett, Brad (Cindy) Quick of Mapleton, 23 grandkids, 42 great grandkids. She is also survived by her sister Patricia Driscoll, sister-in-law Sandi Atkinson & brother-in-law George Sullivan.
Shirley is preceded in death by Robert David Quick Sr. (husband), David L. Quick Sr. (son), Doris Quick (daughter-in-law) and Nichole Lopez (granddaughter).
Shirley retired as a Mental Health Tech from Zeller. She also worked many years at Peoria State Hospital. She was a member of TOPS. She loved taking care of her family, reading books & to crochet.
A visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. A funeral mass will be at 10:00 am with a visitation one hour prior to the service, on Friday, July 7, 2023 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Peoria. Father Jeremy Freehill will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Resurrection Cemetery in Peoria.
