To the Gordon family my deepest condolences... I grew up down the street on Court St in Pekin. We had several houses with kids, The Burdess kids ( me included) The Dantones, The Bennetts, The Cooks and The Gordon's. Countless backyard games, unplugging the lights at Pekin Insurance ( yep we thought we were rebels!) And so many other memories they all cloud together. We picked on each other and protected each other. Eventually,  we all grew up and moved away but the love we all still have for each other will always be there. Rest in peace my old friend. Meet you at the playground when I get there. Save me a swing.

Our friendship started with him sending a message on varage sale. He wanted to buy some things from me. He met me later that day to pick up the items and then 4hrs later He said I've gotta get going. That's where the friendship started. We kept in contact  for a little while and he would stop over from time to time. Then he told me that he was having some living situation issues and I told him he always had a place here if needed.  He moved in with me and that's where the close brotherhood started. We would hang out and talk all the time and make each other laugh. One night we decided we were going on a road trip and decided to go to Memphis TN to be at Lisa marie presley celebration of life. It was a part of rock n roll history. Shortly after that I broke my foot and we had nothing but time to hang. We became so close he considered me and my fiance immediate family and and treated us like family. We were there with him through everything. Ill miss you and all of our great moments we would have. He went and bought some bug a salt guns for us to shoot flys and bugs on the porch and just have a blast with. Through great time and bad, I was always there for you my brother, and I'll always know your with me! I love you my brother, until we meet again.  P.S. keep sending me those signs brother! Rock on 🤘🤘

We have been friends since we met at church (age 8/9).  When I would introduce you to someone and say “we met when we were young at church”, you would say “stop telling people that” and just laugh. 
Then when we were about 10/11 you asked me to the sweetheart dinner the church had for Valentine’s Day.  I didn’t think anything of it, just thought you wanted to go. Lol. We were the only kids there.  Then Joann and my step mom (bev) became our youth group leaders.  We would get up in front of the church and sing.  One time we couldn’t remember the words and we just laughed so hard.  We were taken to wacky waters one year.  That was a blast. We went snow skiing one year also.  Then my dad and Bev got a lot at oak run and you guys would come for a weekend to camp and be on the lake.  No matter what life through at us as we grew up, we always remained friends and kept in touch.  Sometimes not as often and other times all the time everyday.   Every time I saw you, I always would have a strawberry shake for you. I knew that was your favorite.  I’m going to miss you and I love you.   

So sorry for loss of your son, although it’s been many, many years since I last saw him, I do remember him attending the First Baptist Church in Chillicothe with his Dad and JoAnn. May you find comfort in knowing he is now with our Heavenly Father.

I send my condolences to you on the passing of Steve. I did not know Steve well. I only knew him in his younger years growing up. He was always happy. He had a good heart and was always thoughtful of others. He was a great kid.
I am so saddened by your loss. He will be remembered.
