Sunday Ann Davis

What can I say about our mother, our mother was born on Sunday, July 18,1954 in DuQuoin, Il to parents Ruth Davis and Willard Collins. She had her surviving siblings, Cory, Mamie, Johny, Edward, Sylvester, Wilbur, Currinda and Connie.

Our mother had 11 children; nine boys and two girls, Tony, Michael, Mark, Gregory, Terance, Jamane, Shantia, Tyrell, Jyrell, Shane and lastly Richelle. Followed by 21 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Now a little about our mother, more so her personality, our mother was a fair person, a fearless woman, the kind of person to tell you how it is no matter who you are, her children and grandchildren know that all too well.

But one of her best qualities was how loving she was, always helping a family member in need, a roof over your head, food in your stomach or change in your pocket. Even many of her childrens and grandchildrens friends felt welcomed whether she wanted them in her house or not, some people so much so that they called her "mom."

All of us have some great memories of our mother whether it was a time when she was cooking, hanging out, playing cards or just listening to her music. It seems like everyone had a good time at our house, they would come often; aunts, uncles, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and even their friends.

So in closing, mom we love you, we will miss you and all our love goes with you. It brings us comfort to know your love will always be with us, so in this we say rest in peace.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel with visitation one hour prior to service.
