Tammie M. Buffum

She was born Sep. 27, 1957 in Peoria to Max R. and Cecile (Hanamean) Buffum. They precede her in death along with one brother, Charles Bessler, Sr, one nephew, Charles Bessler, Jr, and one sister-in-law, Marilyn Buffum.

Survivors include her sister and best friend, Cheri Buban of Canton, four brothers: Mike Buffum of Peoria, Robert (Valerie) Buffum of Dunlap, Ron (Trina) Buffum of Peoria, Tom (Kelly) Buffum of Princeville, and several nieces and nephews. Tammie loved every one of her nieces, nephews and their children, and never failed to spoil each one of them, especially at Christmas.

Tammie graduated from Dunlap High School. She was currently working at the Dunlap American Legion and was the Treasurer of the Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed donating her time to charity and raising money for Multiple Sclerosis, Alzheimer’s and other worthy causes. She also loved helping out on functions for American Veterans.

Funeral services will be Tuesday Aug. 30, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Tuesday.

Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
