

Thomas Bernard Peplow, 85 formerly of West Peoria, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Lexington Healthcare Center in Streamwood, IL. Born October 8, 1930 in Peoria to Alvin and Lillian (Harms) Peplow; he married Patricia Ann Jakoby on August 28, 1954 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Peoria and she preceded him in death on January 31, 1997. Also preceding in death were his granddaughter, Amy Ann Peplow-Adkins; brother, Raymond and sister, Marilyn Garnant. Surviving are his children, Raymond (Glenna) Peplow of East Peoria, IL Michele (Gregory) Morris of Batavia, IL Ann Edwards of Geneva, IL and Marvin (Amy) Peplow of Bartlett, IL; 12 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. He worked as a Warehouseman at the Pabst Brewing Co. in Peoria Heights for many years retiring in 1982. Thomas was an avid fisherman and bowler who adored his grandchildren. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, January 30, 2016 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Peoria with Monsignor Brian Brownsey to celebrate. Burial will follow at the St. Mary’s Cemetery in West Peoria. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Friday at the Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria and one hour prior to the mass on Saturday at the Church. The family suggests memorials to: the Amy Ann Peplow-Adkins Foundation to support scholarships for sign language interpretation through Illinois Central College to honor Thomas’ granddaughter.
