Timothy Tim S. Hammond

He was born on October 23, 1960 in Peoria, IL to William M. and Frances F. (Fischer) Hammond. He married Lisa Ginder on July 3, 1999 in Peoria. He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Lloyd and Beulah Ginder

He is survived by his wife, Lisa of Peoria, his parents, William “Bill” (Nanette) Hammond of Groveland and Frances “Fran” Weber of Peoria, two children, Melissa and Josh Hammond both of Peoria, one brother, Thomas Hammond of Peoria, one sister, Lynda (Mark) Gilles of Groveland and two nieces, Ashley and Chelsea Gilles

He worked for Bacon and VanBuskirk Glass Co. in Champaign for many years before returning to Peoria where he has worked for River City Construction LLC for over ten years as an Estimator. Tim was a member of the New Apostolic Church in Peoria and was currently attending Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Tim enjoyed being outdoors to golf, hunt, fish, ski, scuba dive or work on the family farm. He was always willing to give his time to help others. Tim loved having fun, spending time with his family and friends and making people laugh.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 24, 2010 from 4 to 8 pm at Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 25, 2010 at 10:00 am at the funeral home with a graveside service at 3:00pm at Arcadia Cemetery in Arcadia, IL. The Rev’s Randy Schmeerbach and Joe Meyer will officiate.
