During her time as an undergraduate student at Western Illinois University, she married her high school sweetheart, William Hunt of Henry, IL, and he survives. William and Trina were married 52 years in August.
Further surviving Trina is a son, Jeffrey (Karla Uyehara) Hunt; daughter, Jennifer Hunt (Chris) Hamilton; and four grandchildren, William and Ethan Hunt, and Scott and Drew Hamilton. Trina was preceded in death by her brother, Chris Cook; and is survived by her sister-in-law, Mary Bowles-Cook.
Trina graduated from WIU in 1974, with a degree in Elementary Education. She worked in Marketing for Joan of Arc foods until 1980, when she decided to take a break from working full-time. Trina then worked alongside her husband at his lumberyard, Siegle-Hunt Lumber Co., until deciding to return to school to become therapist. She received her Master’s Degree in Family Counseling from Bradley University in 1993, and her Ph.D. in Counseling and Family Therapy from St. Louis University in 2003. Trina had her own private practice for many years and worked at Chapin & Russell Associates in Peoria until the time of her death.
