Ward D. Landrum Sr, 66 of Peoria, IL passed away Thursday, January 19, 2017 at his home. He was born March 18, 1950 in Peoria to Willie and Augustine (Ferguson) Landrum. Surviving are his children, Wendy (Calvin) Downs of Ft Worth, Texas and Ward D. Landrum Jr of Peoria; grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Elnora Rickmon and Emma Landrum, both of Peoria and Jane Landrum of Oregon; and brothers, Udell Landrum of Florida, Willie Landrum, Jr and Roosevelt Landrum, both of Peoria and Perry Joe Green of Kansas. Preceding him in death were his parents; sister, Laverne Landrum; and brothers, Daniel Jackson, Jr, Nathaniel Ferguson, and Theodore Landrum. Ward was a heavy equipment operator working through the IUOE local #649 in Peoria. He enjoyed motorcycle riding and rode in the St. Jude Rides many times. He also enjoyed physical fitness and spent much time in the gym. Ward loved his family and was protective of those he cared about. Graveside services will be at 10:00 am Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Parkview Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are entrusted to Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
