

William P. "Bill" Dallinger, age 86, of East Peoria, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at his home. He was surrounded by his family: loving wife Frances Zeman Dallinger, his children Barb (Judy Mathieson) Dallinger, Beckie (Ray) Lopez, Andy (Tina) Siegrist, and Dave (Sarah) Siegrist. His grandchildren Bethany (Brian) Brinkworth, Heather (Ben) Arnold, Drew Siegrist, Jeremy Siegrist, Megan Siegrist, Logan Siegrist. His greatgrandchildren: Scarlett and Annika Arnold, Owen Brinkworth Bill was born September 9, 1928 in Morton, a first generation United States citizen born to German immigrants Richard and Emilie (Heckmann) Dallinger. They preceded him in death along with his infant son Eugene Dallinger. After meeting the love of his life, Frances (Zeman) Dallinger, they married April 11, 1987 in Tazewell County, where they together changed the meaning of stepfamily bringing together a seamless family unit that will remain tied together by their loving example. He is also survived by his brother Richard Jr. (Lillian) Dallinger, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a large extended family of friends from Nevis, Minnesota and Brownsville, Texas. His work career began in high school at the Morton Pottery and continued on to painting and wallpapering with Richard Dallinger Painting and Son. He retired from Caterpillar Tractor in 1983 after 29 years as maintenance management in the Morton Plant. He was also an honorary lifetime member and past President of the Kennel Lake Sportsman Club in Morton, Illinois. Bill was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 504 Fulton Street, Peoria, IL where a funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2015. Visitation will be held at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel, 2021 North University Street, Peoria Tuesday, March 10, 2015 from 4 to 7 P.M. Memorials may be made to the Sophia’s Kitchen through Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Morton.
